When I purchased a bottle of Royal Rose's Three Chile simple syrup, it seemed time to try again. Success! This whiskey drink has just the spicy, smoky finish that I was after.
Whiskey Ember
makes 1 cocktail
Mix everything in a low ball glass. Give it a good stir. Add ice (I prefer a single big ice cube which melts slowly). Enjoy.
- 2 oz good whiskey
- 1/5 oz Royal Rose Three Chile Simple Syrup
- a couple dashes of cherry bitters
WHOA! I'd love this!!! Where did you buy that interesting simple syrup?!?!
ReplyDeleteHi Autumn! I got mine from www.eatboutique.com but you can also get it directly from Royal Rose: http://royalroseny.bigcartel.com/
DeleteI kind of wish I could rewind to November and drink these all winter now.
ReplyDeleteWhy hello there! Just in time for the weekend :)
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this, even the name of this cocktail is so enticing! I thought it was going to have some sort of smoked aspect, but the cayenne sounds perfect. I love the shots, by the way, I've been struggling with photographing cocktails, they can be so tricky.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really fantastic highball glass - who makes it?
ReplyDeleteThank you - I love these glasses, and they are actually made in France, completely affordable, and from IKEA!
DeleteDulcie! Just last night Paul ordered some kind of "Ember" and loved it! Now here you are:) I'll have to bust this one out for P and he'll be psyched.
ReplyDeleteHope you're well!
